Hi-Fi Rush fans, rejoice! Beginning today, publishing rights are transferring from Bethesda to Krafton following the latter's revival of Tango Gameworks.

The development studio would otherwise have been shuttered, but it was scooped up by Krafton at the last minute, along with the Hi-Fi Rush IP. Now, it officially belongs to the South Korean publisher.

It's overall good news; in a blog post detailing the changeover, Krafton is "committed to providing a smooth transition and continuing to deliver an enjoyable Hi-Fi Rush experience to all players".

What might sour the news for some is the company's recent pledge to becoming an AI-first business.

With generative AI and other related tools causing varying degrees of controversy of late, a publisher going whole hog on the tech will be a giant red flag to some fans.

It remains to be seen how exactly being an "AI-first" company will manifest, but at least the beloved Hi-Fi Rush has its new owner and will continue to be available.
